Classic and endlessly versatile, this globe pendant from Elegance Interiors pairs a hand-blown smoked amber glass shade with exposed iron hardware for a look that is part vintage, part modern. The tinted glass softens the light into a warm, honeyed glow and turns an ordinary bulb into a feature, making it one of those fittings that never seems to go out of fashion.
At 20cm across, the globe is perfectly sized to hang in a row above a kitchen island or breakfast bar, where several together create a rhythmic, restaurant-style look. It works just as well on its own in a hallway, landing, bedroom or dining room, and its clean, simple shape suits everything from Scandinavian and mid-century interiors to industrial lofts and country kitchens.
The 90cm flex is adjustable, so you can set the drop to suit your ceiling height and the surface below. The pendant takes a single E27 bulb, not included, and lights an area of around 5 to 10 square metres. A vintage filament bulb looks especially striking inside the smoked glass, and an LED version keeps running costs low. It is CE certified for 220V mains and is supplied with a ceiling rose and all fittings. As a hard-wired fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician.
