This big barn-style pendant from Elegance Interiors brings together a painted yellow metal shade and a natural hemp rope flex for a look that is part country kitchen, part industrial loft. At 36cm across and 15.5cm deep, the wide shade throws a generous pool of light downwards, making it ideal over a dining table, kitchen island or breakfast bar.
The classic silhouette is one that never really goes out of style, and the cheerful yellow finish adds warmth and personality to plain ceilings. It suits modern, retro, loft and farmhouse interiors, and it works beautifully in kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways and entrance halls, as well as cafés, bars and restaurants. The painted surface is evenly finished, low in carbon, non-toxic and resistant to rust for long-lasting good looks.
The pendant hangs from a 1m hemp rope flex with an E27 holder, suitable for bulbs up to 60W, which are not included. The rope cannot be shortened, but it can be knotted part-way along to adjust the drop for a relaxed, rustic effect. It comes with a ceiling rose of around 100mm and all the fittings needed, and it runs on 110V to 230V. As a hard-wired fitting, installation by a qualified electrician is recommended.
